Explore Baku at night on a guided city tour. See the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, stroll along Baku Boulevard, and enjoy panoramic views from Highland Park.
Start your tour with a convenient pickup from your hotel or an arranged meeting point. Begin your journey by passing the National Gymnastics Arena, a major sports complex designed to host large-scale international gymnastics events.
Continue with a stop at the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, an architectural landmark designed by Zaha Hadid. During night hours, access to the interior is unavailable, and the visit consists of an exterior viewing of the structure’s fluid design, a guided explanation of its architectural significance, and a photo opportunity at the illuminated “I Love Baku” installation.
Next, head to Baku Boulevard, a seafront promenade established in 1909 along the Caspian coast. Its development began during the early oil boom period, when the shoreline was gradually extended through land reclamation and prominent oil barons constructed residences in the vicinity. Today it is one of the city’s principal public spaces, featuring recreational zones, landscaped areas, and panoramic views of the bay.
Continue past Baku Crystal Hall, a multipurpose indoor arena built for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, followed by National Flag Square, a prominent urban landmark featuring one of the tallest flag masts in the region. Pass the Ferris Wheel (Baku Eye), located on the waterfront and offering a full view of the city’s coastal skyline.
Finally, stop at Highland Park, positioned on an elevated terrace overlooking the bay. This area provides the main panoramic viewpoint for observing the city’s night skyline and the illumination sequence of the Flame Towers. Your guide presents historical and urban context related to the site, after which you proceed on foot toward Martyrs’ Lane and the Eternal Flame monument, both of which commemorate individuals who lost their lives during key national events. Conclude your tour at Highland Park, followed by a return transfer to the original meeting point.
