10:00 AM - 12:30 PM | Water Town Core Highlights
Arrive at Zhujiajiao and start your journey:
Wander along Beijie Old Street, Shanghai's longest well-preserved Ming-Qing style commercial street, lined with centuries-old shops and riverside houses.
Walk through Fangsheng Bridge, the largest 5-arch stone bridge in East China, the iconic landmark of the town. Stand on the bridge to overlook the panoramic water town scenery.
Optional: Take a 30-minute traditional wooden rowing boat ride to experience the classic "small bridge, flowing water, households" Jiangnan water town vibe from the river.
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM | Authentic Local Lunch

1:30 PM - 4:00 PM | Cultural & Photo-worthy Exploration
After lunch, visit the town's most popular cultural spots at your own pace:
Qing Dynasty Post Office: The only remaining Qing Dynasty post office in East China. You can send a vintage-style postcard to yourself or your loved ones, and collect unique commemorative stamps here.
Kezhi Garden: Shanghai's largest private garden, a perfect mix of classical Jiangnan garden architecture and Western-style villa. Enjoy the quiet lotus pond, winding corridors, and if you visit on weekends, you can even catch a traditional Kunqu opera performance in the garden.
You can also wander the quiet old alleys freely, try more street snacks, or watch folk activities like traditional boat boxing if you are lucky.
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM | Departure & Hotel Drop-off
We will gather at the town entrance, then drive back to your Shanghai hotel. You will be dropped off at your hotel lobby around 5:00-6:00 PM, ending this pleasant day trip.
