Experience one of Thailand’s most magical nights at Sky of Wishes, a spectacular lantern festival in Chiang Mai during the Yi Peng and Loy Krathong season. This unforgettable celebration brings together Northern Thai culture, local food, traditional crafts, live performances, spiritual ceremony, and a breathtaking mass lantern release beneath the night sky.

Your journey begins with transportation arranged according to your booking tier. Shared transfers depart from Chiang Mai University, while selected packages may include hotel pickup, return transportation, or private door-to-door service. Shuttle departures begin at 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

The gates open at 3:00 PM. After registration, enter a Lanna-inspired festival arena filled with cultural villages, artisan houses, local cuisine, music, performances, activities, and photo opportunities. Explore the grounds freely, enjoy food according to your booking, and experience the festive atmosphere before the main ceremony.

From 3:30 PM, enjoy cultural shows, elephant photo and feeding activities, traditional crafts, krathong making, and dining. Discover Northern Thai heritage through umbrella painting, saa paper lantern crafting, handloom textile demonstrations, music and workshops celebrating Lanna craftsmanship.

Assigned seating applies only inside the lantern-release ceremony area. During the afternoon and early evening, guests may walk freely around the festival grounds. At 8:30 PM, guests enter the release ground according to ticket tier, where staff guide everyone to their assigned seating zone.

The main ceremony begins at approximately 9:00 PM with a spiritual ceremony led by 108 monks, followed by a cultural performance. The atmosphere becomes calm and meaningful as thousands of guests prepare their lanterns, make wishes, and wait for the release signal.

At approximately 9:50 PM, the host leads the mass lantern release. In one unforgettable moment, thousands of glowing lanterns rise into the Chiang Mai night sky, each carrying a wish, memory, or hope for the future. The scene is emotional, photogenic, and deeply beautiful, followed by fireworks above the festival arena.

Your experience includes festival admission, access to the cultural villages and live stage program, performances and activities, assigned ceremony seating, dining according to your selected booking, and 3 sky lanterns for the main release.

After the ceremony, enjoy the atmosphere before leaving through your designated departure gate. Return transfers begin at approximately 10:20 PM and operate according to booking tier.
