Discover the Mutianyu Great Wall on a small-group tour from Beijing. Enjoy a cable car ride up, a toboggan ride down, and a traditional Chinese lunch.
Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your downtown Beijing hotel. Step inside a climate-controlled executive minivan shared with no more than 10 travelers, and head north toward the scenic Huairou District. Along the smooth drive, your expert English-speaking guide brings the Ming Dynasty to life, explaining the brilliant architecture and military strategy that shaped these iconic stone ridges.
Upon arrival, zip past the standard entry lines with pre-arranged VIP passes and board the scenic shuttle directly to the base. This premium tour eliminates the exhaustive uphill trek by including a round-trip ticket for Mutianyu’s best mountain experiences: ride a smooth, enclosed high-altitude cable car up to the ramparts, and later, fly down the mountain on the famous winding steel toboggan track.
With an unhurried five hours of total freedom on the Wall, you will have plenty of time to hike between beautifully restored watchtowers, escape the crowds, and snap stunning panoramic photographs.
After descending from your high-altitude hike, sit down at a highly rated local foothills restaurant to enjoy a traditional, comforting Northern Chinese countryside buffet. Feast on freshly prepared regional specialties, seasonal stir-fries, and local delicacies before settling back into your premium vehicle. Relax in comfort as your driver delivers you straight back to your hotel doorstep, concluding a flawless, unforgettable day of exploration.
