Paddle from St. Maarten to Pinel Island on a self-guided kayak excursion. Cross calm, protected water, relax on the beach, and enjoy a hassle-free round-trip transfer from the cruise port.
Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from the Philipsburg cruise terminal. Travel by van to Cul-de-Sac, on the quieter French side of the island, where Caribbean Paddling is the closest kayak operator to Pinel Island.
From Cul-de-Sac, kayak roughly 800 meters, about 10 to 20 minutes, across calm, shallow, protected water to Pinel Island, a small island inside the Saint-Martin Nature Reserve with white sand and a real, uncrowded beach.
Once on the island, relax on the sand, rent snorkel gear on-site to explore the reef, or grab lunch feet-in-the-sand at one of the two beachfront restaurants, Karibuni or Yellow Beach (not included).
After your beach time, paddle back to Cul-de-Sac and be transferred back to the Philipsburg cruise terminal with time to spare before your ship departs.

Your dedicated Caribbean Paddling driver will be waiting at the Hertz office, located at the end of the main strip, 1 minute walk from the terminal exit. After disembarking, follow the pier walkway to the terminal building, then turn right at the main pedestrian area. The Hertz office is at the end of the strip. Your driver will be holding a Caribbean Paddling sign. Not sure? Ask any port staff for the Hertz location.
This shuttle is reserved exclusively for Caribbean Paddling guests. The driver departs at 9:30 AM sharp, please be on time.
