Experience Humpback Whales Up Close
Join us aboard Big Blue, our custom-built whale watching vessel designed for speed, comfort, and intimate encounters. With seating for just 21 guests, you’ll enjoy a personal and respectful experience with the majestic humpback whales.
Each year between May and November, over 30,000 humpbacks migrate from Antarctica to the warm waters of the tropics and Great Barrier Reef. The Tweed and Gold Coast region offers the perfect vantage point as they pass close to shore.
Listen to their incredible underwater song via our onboard hydrophone and gain fascinating insights from our expert marine biologist.
Big Blue is a fast, stable rigid inflatable boat—used by police and military—allowing us to reach the whales quickly and safely. Along the way, we often encounter dolphins, turtles, and migratory seabirds.
If no whales are sighted, you're welcome to join another tour free of charge—though with such a large migration, it's a rare occurrence.

Our tour departs from the Public Jetty at
1A Minjungbal Dr, Tweed Heads South NSW 2486, Australia
just 5 minutes from Coolangatta and the Gold Coast airport. Theres plenty of parking close to the jetty along the road side. We depart from the public jetty in the park across the road from the Fire station
