Day 1 – Arrival in Paro – Royal Welcome & Heritage Introduction

Day 3 – Thimphu to Punakha – Royal Dzongs & Himalayan Pass
Drive: 77 km / 3 hours

Morning drive via Dochula Pass (3,100m) – panoramic Himalayan views and 108 memorial chortens.

Visit Druk Wangyal Lhakhang, decorated with royal family paintings.

Arrive in Punakha Valley, ancient winter capital of Bhutan.

Visit Punakha Dzong – “Palace of Great Happiness,” an iconic riverside fortress with historic royal significance.

Walk on Punakha Suspension Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan.

Evening: Optional short hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten – a royal temple with beautiful valley views.

Day 4 – Punakha to Paro – Villages & Local Heritage

Day 5 – Paro – Tiger’s Nest Monastery & Departure
Highlights:

Early morning hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) – Bhutan’s most iconic spiritual site, perched on a cliff.

Witness monks chanting and experience the serene atmosphere of the Himalayas.

Afternoon at leisure for souvenir shopping or a cultural stroll in Paro.

Transfer to Paro Airport for departure.
