This tour is not a classic city tour. Together with your local guide, you will explore hidden mahalas and secret vantage points that most tourists never get to see.
Get off the usual tourist trails and experience Sarajevo in a way most travelers never do: This Sarajevo city hike combines a hike from the old town of Sarajevo to the most beautiful vantage points with a city tour through the old Ottoman neighborhoods, the Mahalas.

The Mahalas are the true heart of the city, where real everyday life takes place. Hike to the vantage points that were strategically important during the siege of Sarajevo and see famous landmarks such as the Sarajevo City Hall, the Latin Bridge, or Baščaršija from above.

This is not a typical city tour or hike in Sarajevo — it's more like an afternoon with a local friend, where you'll discover new corners, hear anecdotes about the history of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and understand why the inhabitants of this city have remained so full of life.

Along the way, you will try typical Bosnian meze (small snacks), and the tour ends with a typical Bosnian lunch, which we will have at one of our favorite restaurants — because a hike in Sarajevo without a delicious finish? That doesn't happen here!

Our groups are deliberately small so that your guide can explain Sarajevo's complex history and you can enjoy a unique experience.
