4-Day Botswana Safari Itinerary
Location: Boteti Tented Safari Lodge, Okavango Delta & Makgadikgadi Pans

Day 1: Arrival – Sunset Mokoro Safari
Arrive at Maun Airport and meet your guide for a short, scenic transfer to Boteti Tented Safari Lodge. After a warm welcome and check-in, enjoy a complimentary drink and lodge orientation.

Spend the afternoon at leisure—dip in the pool, enjoy a light lunch, or simply relax. In the late afternoon, embark on a 2-hour sunset Mokoro safari along the Boteti River (subject to water levels). Spot hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife as your guide shares insights into the river’s rich ecosystem. If the river is dry, enjoy a cultural tour of nearby Xobe village instead.

Return to the lodge for a traditional dinner under the stars, paired with wine and the sounds of the African night.

Day 2: Okavango Delta – Full-Day Mokoro Safari
Start the day with coffee, tea, and home-baked biscuits, followed by a light breakfast. Head out for a full-day Mokoro safari into the Okavango Delta—one of the world’s most iconic wetlands.

Glide through tranquil channels, take a guided nature walk on a remote island, and learn about local wildlife and plant life. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch amid the scenic delta before continuing your exploration.

Return to the lodge by late afternoon and unwind with sundowners on the deck overlooking the Boteti River. End the day with another starlit dinner in the open-air Boma.

Day 3: Makgadikgadi Pans & Baines Baobabs
After breakfast, journey across the vast, ethereal Makgadikgadi Salt Pans—one of the largest in the world. Capture the expansive, surreal landscape on camera as you drive toward the Baines Baobabs.

Enjoy a picnic lunch beneath these iconic, centuries-old trees, immortalized by explorer Thomas Baines. Return via Nxai Pans National Park, home to diverse wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, springbok, and possibly elephants or lions.

Arrive at the lodge by late afternoon, relax with a drink, and enjoy your final dinner by the fire.

Day 4: Departure
Spend your final morning at leisure—take a dip in the pool, enjoy the views, or walk the lodge grounds. After a relaxing start, you’ll be transferred back to Maun Airport or your preferred drop-off point in Maun.
