Day 1.
Begin your journey after breakfast at your hotel and departure to visit Banteay Chhmar Temple, an ancient site from the Angkorian period. Located in Banteay Chhmar commune, this temple is surrounded by four villages and faces the Dangrek Mountain chain. Discover its strategic significance along the network of royal roads during the Angkorian Empire.

Next, head to the Bat Cave at Phnom Sampeau mountain in Battambang Province. Witness an amazing spectacle as thousands of bats leave their cave at dusk, creating a black streak in the sky. Watch as they disperse on the horizon, illuminated by starlight, before returning to their caves.
Day 2.
After breakfast, continue to the Bamboo Train in Battambang, a unique and unforgettable experience. Ride on a simple bamboo platform mounted on wheels, powered by a small motor. Chug along a single-track railway line, offering a glimpse into rural Cambodian life. Learn how locals creatively repurposed discarded railway materials to create these makeshift trains for transporting goods and people.

Finally, visit the Banan Temple, a charming Khmer temple and living pilgrimage site. Founded by King Uttayadityavarman II in the mid-11th century, this temple is known for its historical significance and its connection to the Baphuon temple in Angkor and the West Baray reservoir. Discover the temple’s role as a demonstration of power at the southeastern corner of the empire.
Last, go back to Siem Reap.
