Siem Reap: 4-Day Angkor Wat, Temples, and Lake Tour

Discover the wonders of the Khmer Empire on a 4-day tour of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, and Tonle Sap Lake. Explore iconic temples, hidden gems, and the beauty of the lake.
Day 1: Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat & Phnom Bakheng

After breakfast, meet your guide and travel to Angkor Thom. Enter through the impressive South Gate, lined with gods and demons pulling the sacred naga. Visit the iconic Bayon Temple, famous for its 196 serene stone faces. Continue on foot to Baphuon, an 11th-century Hindu temple with a giant reclining Buddha, then explore the Royal Palace, including Phimeanakas and the royal bathing pools.

See the Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace, and views of Kleang and Suor Prat towers before stopping at Baksei Chamkrong near the South Gate.

After lunch at a local restaurant, explore the world-famous Angkor Wat, then climb Phnom Bakheng to enjoy a stunning sunset before returning to your hotel.

Day 2: Phnom Kulen & Banteay Srei

Travel to Phnom Kulen Mountain, the sacred birthplace of the Khmer Empire. Visit the River of a Thousand Lingas, the massive Reclining Buddha (Preah Ang Thom), and enjoy time at the waterfall, where swimming is possible.

After lunch at the foot of the mountain, visit Banteay Srei, the exquisite 10th-century pink sandstone temple dedicated to Shiva. On the return journey, stop at sugar palm villages, with an optional visit to the Landmine Museum, then explore Banteay Samre and climb Pre Rup for panoramic views.

Day 3: Sunrise, Grand Circuit & Jungle Temples

Depart at 5:00 AM for sunrise at Angkor Wat. Continue to Preah Khan, a vast monastery built by King Jayavarman VII, then visit Neak Pean, Ta Som, and East Mebon.

After lunch, explore hidden Ta Nei, followed by Ta Prohm, famous for giant tree roots and the film Tomb Raider. Visit nearby Banteay Kdei and stop at Kravan Temple before returning to your hotel around 4:30–5:00 PM.

Day 4: Tonle Sap Lake

After breakfast, meet your guide and travel to Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake, to discover floating villages and local river life.

After lunch already around 1:30pm or 2:00pm in the afternoon we go to visit Beng Mealea. So far this temple still original as no restoration yet and too much covered by jungle that’s why most people called “Indianajon temple”. After Beng Mealea on the way back to city/your hotel if time permit then we will stop to visit Rolous Group ( Lolei, Preah Ko, Bakong )
