Traditional Costume Makeup & Styling Experience: Han, Miao & Zhuang Ethnic Groups
Each has unique features for an immersive ethnic cultural experience. Here’s the brief intro:
Han Ethnic Group (Hanfu)
Hanfu varies by dynasty, with matching makeup and styling:
Costume
Han-style: Crossed collars, right overlaps; curved-hem deep robes (Western Han) & straight-hem gowns (Eastern Han).
Tang-style: Short jackets/large-sleeve shirts with long skirts, high waistline, paired with half-sleeves and silk shawls.
Song-style: Slim fit with straight collars; unlined jackets as the classic style.
Ming-style: Shirts/padded jackets with skirts, plus waistcoats and silk shawls.
Makeup & Hair
Ming-style: Elegant makeup with willow eyebrows, earth-tone eye makeup and red/bean paste lips; high chignons with delicate hairpins.
Song-style: Fresh natural makeup with soft mountain eyebrows; double buns/hanging chignons with small flowers, paired with round fans/silk purses for ancient charm.
Miao Ethnic Group
Bright costumes with rich silver ornaments, strong ethnic vibes:
Costume
Formal/daily wear options, adorned with embroidery and batik (flower/bird/myth patterns); women’s formal wear includes silver headdresses and neck rings.
Makeup & Hair
Fresh pink makeup with prominent eye looks, optional forehead flower/diamond embellishments; double buns/coiled hair with silver hats (silver flowers/bells) or silver hairpins/combs.
Zhuang Ethnic Group
Simple elegant costumes in blue/black, simple and lively styles:
Costume
Cotton/linen fabrics with exquisite embroidery/prints; right-overlapping blouses with wide-leg pants/pleated skirts and waist sashes.
Makeup & Hair
Natural fresh makeup with forehead stickers, sun-kissed blush and ethnic earrings; quick braids paired with silver ornaments/colorful headbands.
The above describes the venue's costumes. After our makeup artists finish the look, visitors can wear the costumes to take photos at local scenic spots.
