As you leave the city behind, the road winds through stunning mountain landscapes, offering breathtaking views of sharp peaks, green valleys and traditional villages. After a few hours and a short stop for coffee, you will arrive at Theth National Park, a quiet alpine village surrounded by high mountains and rich in cultural history.

You will embark on a moderate hike to the Blue Eye, a 5-meter-deep pool of crystal-clear water flowing from the peaks of the Alps. The trail winds through wildflower meadows, wooden bridges and quiet forest paths, with plenty of photo opportunities along the way. Upon arrival, take time to rest, refresh yourself and enjoy the natural beauty of the waterfalls.

After the hike, you’ll enjoy a traditional Albanian lunch at a local guesthouse, where you’ll be served fresh, home-cooked meals – think grilled meats, local cheese, pie and mountain herbal tea – all while enjoying stunning views of the valley. After lunch, we head to Thethi Church. One of the oldest churches in Albania, it’s surrounded by the peaks of the Albanian Alps.

In the afternoon, you can explore more of Thethi at a relaxed pace – perhaps wandering along the river, chatting with locals or simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. As the sun sets behind the peaks, you’ll begin your return journey, bringing with you memories of the fresh mountain air, cultural stories and untouched beauty of the Albanian Alps.
