Experience a scenic ferry ride from Helsinki to Suomenlinna and back, and a visit to the Suomenlinna Museum. Explore this fortress island and discover its history and cultural relevance.
Our waterbus brings you to the heart of the fortress island of Suomenlinna, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the number 1 must-see tourist attraction in Finland, with its historical sea fortress and lovely museums and restaurants.
This ticket includes admission to the Suomenlinna Museum, presenting
the key events in the history of the fortress, offering interesting perspectives on Finnish history and the history of Northern Europe. The exhibition includes personal objects, tools and weapons found at Suomenlinna. The museum’s permanent exhibition gives a comprehensive picture of the fortress and the life of its inhabitants in the 18th and 19th centuries.
The duration of the ferry ride is about 25 minutes. The duration of the museum visit is up to you, usually 45 minutes and up. After the tour you can explore the island at your own pace, or head back to the Market Square with the next ferry. Departure frequency every 30-60 minutes.
Vessels leave from the Helsinki Market Square, "Keisarinluodon laituri"-pier (which is next to the Korkeasaari zoo pier). Look for red FRS Finland signs and flags. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a cold beer on our sun deck - our friendly staff is at your service.
The Suomenlinna museum is right next to the arrival pier at Artillery Bay. Please present you ticket at the museum counter.

Make your way to the Keisariluodonlaituri-pier at the Helsinki Market Square. Look for red "FRS Finland" flags and the "Suomenlinna Lonna" text on the pier. Choose the queue for SUOMENLINNA. Please show your ticket to the staff and board the FRS ferry to Suomenlinna.
