Private Canadian D-Day tour from Le Havre led by your own licensed WWII guide: Juno Beach, Juno Beach Centre tickets, Canada House and Bény-sur-Mer War Cemetery. Pickup included.
Your own licensed WWII expert guide leads this private tour from Le Havre, dedicated to the Canadian story of D-Day. On June 6, 1944, about 14,000 Canadian soldiers landed on Juno Beach, and by nightfall they had pushed farther inland than any other Allied force. It is a chapter most D-Day tours leave out, and here it is the heart of your day, in a private vehicle for your group only.

Your day starts with pickup at the Le Havre cruise terminal, your hotel or the train station. The drive to the Juno sector takes about 1h20, and your guide uses this time to explain Canada's role in Operation Overlord.

At Juno Beach in Courseulles you walk the sand where the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division came ashore, with German bunkers still standing in the dunes and memorials to the regiments that landed here.

The Juno Beach Centre, the Canadian museum of the Normandy landings, tells the story of the 45,000 Canadians who gave their lives in World War II through photographs, archives and personal accounts. Your entrance tickets are included.

After a lunch break at a seaside restaurant (not included, your guide recommends the best spots), you continue to Bernières to see Canada House, one of the first houses liberated on D-Day by the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada and still standing on the waterfront.

The day ends at the Bény-sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery, final resting place of more than 2,000 Canadian soldiers who fell during the Battle of Normandy. It is a quiet place for reflection, and your guide can help you find a family member's name if you send it to us before your visit.

This itinerary is a suggestion and can be fully customized: spend more time at one site, add a museum or search for a family member's name, just let us know when you book. For cruise passengers we plan the day around your ship's schedule and guarantee your return before all aboard time.

With more than 15 years of experience running private tours in Normandy, we take care of every detail so you can focus entirely on the history.
