Come practice your French with me on a relaxed, no-pressure walk through Lyon’s Presqu’île.
I’m a native English speaker who learned French myself, so I know how intimidating it can feel to actually use a language in real life. I’ll speak slowly, give you time to think, and be a patient listener while helping you build confidence through real conversation.
As we explore central Lyon, we’ll pass some of the Presqu’île’s most beautiful and iconic spots, such as the Grand Hôtel-Dieu, Place Bellecour, Place des Jacobins and Place des Terreaux. Along the way, you’ll get practical experience using everyday French while discovering a little more about the city.
This is a flexible, go-with-the-flow kind of tour. We can follow a set route, or wander toward whatever catches your interest. Want to stop and look at a shop window? Ask about a building? Practice ordering something? Even sit down for a glass of wine on a terrace? I’m not going to complain
The goal isn’t perfect grammar or speaking without mistakes. It’s to get you using French in a friendly, encouraging environment and to help you feel a little more comfortable speaking by the end of the walk.
Think of it as part walking tour, part conversation practice, and part confidence boost, with Lyon as our classroom.
