Provence Gourmet Market & Village Tour: Aix, Cucuron, & Lourmarin

Enjoy a gourmet day in Provence! Stroll, taste, savor... The Aix market, then the authentic villages of Cucuron, Vaugines, and Lourmarin. an off-the-beaten-track immersion.
Start of the day – 9:00 am: Pick-up

Your day starts with a pick-up from your accommodation or a central meeting point that we'll have arranged together.
I'll go over the day's schedule and answer any questions you have. Once you're settled into my comfortable, air-conditioned van, you'll begin your immersion in authentic Provence.

Morning – Exploring Aix-en-Provence's historic center and local market
The morning is dedicated to exploring the historic center of Aix-en-Provence.
We'll wander through the cobbled streets, showing you the main squares, fountains, and iconic buildings, as well as the history and anecdotes that make the city so charming.
Next, you'll visit the Provençal market, a lively and colorful place where local producers display their products. You'll have the chance to taste some of the local specialties, like seasonal fruits and vegetables, cheeses, tapenades, olive oils, charcuterie, and artisanal sweets such as calissons or Provençal biscuits. This experience will allow you to discover the authentic flavors and fresh products of the region, while enjoying the lively and friendly atmosphere of the market.

Noon – Lunch in Cucuron

Around noon, we'll head to the Luberon, arriving in the charming village of Cucuron, famous for its central basin, its centuries-old plane trees, its historic alleys, and its peaceful atmosphere. We'll visit a designer boutique that I particularly like.
Lunch will be at a local restaurant selected for the quality of its products and its typical Provencal setting. You can enjoy traditional dishes prepared with fresh local products, accompanied by local wines. It's a relaxing time that lets you fully enjoy the charm of the village and Provencal hospitality, in the shade of the century-old plane trees.

Afternoon – Vaugines and Lourmarin Villages

After lunch, we'll hit the road again to cross the village of Vaugines, a small village typical of the Luberon, known for its church, narrow streets, stone houses and picturesque views of the surrounding hills.

Then, you'll continue your visit to Lourmarin, one of the most beautiful villages in Provence, ranked among the "Most Beautiful Villages of France". You'll have some free time to wander through its lively streets, discover the shops of local artisans and artists, and admire the characteristic Provençal architecture.
We'll enjoy an artisanal ice cream, a refreshing highlight that perfectly rounds off your day.

We'll hit the road again and I'll drop you off at your accommodation at 5:00 PM.

This day will have allowed you to discover an authentic Provence, between culture, gastronomy and picturesque landscapes, enjoying a relaxed pace and quality experiences.
