On this two-hour urban sketching tour through Dresden's Old Town, you'll combine drawing, city exploration, and art history to create a unique experience. Together, we will explore some of the city’s most beautiful spots and capture their unique atmosphere through sketches.
The tour starts right at the Semperoper ticket office. After a brief introduction to drawing and observing, we will start on our first sketch – in a completely relaxed atmosphere and without any pressure to perform.
We will then continue through the Old Town to the Zwinger, where we will playfully explore architecture, perspective, and details. Along the way, you will hear fascinating stories about Dresden as a city of art, famous artists, historical context, and the contemporary creative scene.
To round it off, we’ll visit a secret spot – a unique location off the usual tourist routes that’s perfect for sketching and offers a new perspective on Dresden.
This tour is suitable for beginners and experts alike. It’s not about perfection, but about observation, relaxation, and capturing Dresden in your own unique way.
