Experience the Elbe at its most peaceful and romantic: On this guided beaver tour at sunset, you will discover beavers in their natural habitat in the beautiful Elbe meadows. As the shadows get longer, you will paddle together to the places where their tracks and lodges are easiest to spot.

You will meet at the Albia Canoe Station in Neu Darchau – in good time before sunset – and first receive a brief canoeing orientation, including safety and conduct rules for the water. Afterwards, you will head upstream with an experienced guide. At the start, you will be paddling against the current, so all participants should be prepared to actively contribute.

With a bit of luck, you'll soon spot your first beavers in the water. Then, as the last light of day softly illuminates the landscape, you will let the current carry you back to the station. The reflections of the evening colors on the Elbe are particularly evocative – a true nature experience that is also suitable for beginners and families.

Safety equipment will be provided, and you will also receive fascinating background information: from a short talk about the European beaver to an informational brochure for all ages.
