Reach the church and enter respectfully. Discover the remarkable connection between faith, the mountain, ancient religious art, and the surrounding landscape. Gheralta's rock-hewn churches remain important sacred places, while sites such as Abune Yemata Guh are known for their dramatic cliff setting and historic paintings.
