Mount Rinjani Trekking 3D/2N Via Sembalun Finish Torean

Trek Mount Rinjani in 3D/2N via Sembalun, ending at Torean. Experience stunning views, volcanic landscapes, and Segara Anak Lake on an adventurous journey through Lombok’s natural beauty.
Day 1: Sembalun Village to Crater Rim
We start from the Sembalun entrance, trekking through the open savannah. The trail is relatively flat initially but becomes steep as we approach the crater rim. We will have lunch at Pos 2 before tackling the famous 'Seven Regret Hills'. We arrive at Sembalun Crater Rim in the late afternoon to set up camp and enjoy the sunset.

Rest for early morning summit
The savannah is exposed to direct sun. Wear a hat and use sunscreen. The ascent to the rim is physically demanding.
Day 2: Summit, Lake & Hot Springs
Summit day starts at 2 AM. We climb the loose scree to the 3,726m peak for sunrise. After celebrating at the top, we descend back to camp for breakfast and then trek down into the crater to Segara Anak Lake. The afternoon is spent swimming, fishing, and soaking in the natural hot springs. We camp right by the lake under the stars.

The descent to the lake is steep and rocky. Take care of your knees. The hot springs are 10 mins walk from the campsite.
Day 3: Lake to Torean Village (Jurassic Route)
Instead of climbing up, we follow the river valley down towards Torean. The trail passes the 'Susu' cave, majestic waterfalls like Penimbung, and hugs the cliffside of the valley. The scenery changes from volcanic rock to lush tropical jungle. It is a long but visually stunning walk that ends in Torean village.
