Experience two of Indonesia’s most iconic volcanoes on this 3-day adventure from Yogyakarta to Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater, ending with a convenient drop-off at your hotel in Bali.
Day 1: Yogyakarta – Transfer to Bromo Area ( Cemoro Lawang Village )
Get picked up from your hotel in Yogyakarta and drive approximately 7–8 hours across East Java. Enjoy countryside views, rice fields, and local villages. Check in at a hotel near Bromo and rest.
Day 2: Bromo Sunrise – Transfer to Ijen ( Bondowoso City )
Take an early morning jeep ride to a sunrise viewpoint (around 3:00 AM). Watch the sunrise over Mount Bromo and the surrounding volcanoes. Descend into the Sea of Sand and hike to the crater. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Continue the drive to the Ijen area (approx. 4 hours). Check in at a hotel near Ijen and rest.
Day 3: Ijen Crater – Ferry to Bali ( Drop off any hotel in Bali )
Depart at midnight to Ijen Crater. Trek to the crater rim (approx. 1.5–2 hours). Witness the blue flames (weather permitting). Enjoy sunrise and turquoise crater lake views. Return to base and have breakfast. Transfer to Ketapang Harbor. Take a ferry crossing to Gilimanuk Port. Get dropped off at your hotel in Bali.
