Begin your adventure with a descent into Jomblang Cave, a vertical sinkhole about 60 meters deep. Be lowered down by rope into the cavern, where an ancient forest thrives in the sunlight that beams through the massive opening above. The floor of the cave is covered with lush vegetation, large ferns, and towering trees that have grown in isolation for thousands of years.
From Jomblang, continue through a 300-meter underground tunnel that leads to Kali Suci River, also known as the “Sacred River.” Switch to cave tubing: float on an inner tube while navigating the dark, flowing underground river.
Your local guide will pull you along as you pass stunning stalactites, stalagmites, and rock formations that glow when hit by the guide’s torchlight. The water is cool, the cave is silent except for the sound of flowing water, and the whole experience feels like exploring another world.
