This is the unique itinerary featured in this product, created for travellers who want to escape the usual tourist circuit. Explore Kyoto’s peaceful western countryside, secluded temples, mountain scenery and a quiet alternative to the crowded Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.

Suggested highlights include Oharano Shrine, Shōjiji Temple, Shōbōji Temple, Rakusai Bamboo Park and the magnificent mountainside Yoshimine-dera Temple. This route is ideal for repeat visitors, photographers and anyone searching for a more authentic and tranquil side of Kyoto.

Itinerary B – Classic Kyoto Highlights

Guests visiting Kyoto for the first time may instead select the city’s most popular sightseeing route. Depending on traffic, opening hours and the group’s preferred pace, the itinerary may include Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera Temple and the traditional Gion district.

As this is a private tour, the itinerary remains completely flexible. Guests may follow either itinerary in full or combine selected locations from both routes. Your driver-guide will help create the most practical schedule, although visiting every location from both itineraries within one day may not be possible.

The tour includes private transportation, an experienced driver-guide, hotel pickup and drop-off, fuel, tolls and parking. Admission tickets, meals and personal expenses are not included unless otherwise stated.
