Leave the coast behind and head into the wild on a 2-day safari to Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and oldest wildlife parks. Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Mombasa as you travel through local villages and open countryside toward the famous red landscapes of Tsavo.
Upon entering the park, the safari begins immediately. Tsavo East is well known for its red elephants, as well as lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, antelopes, and many species of birds. During the game drive, your experienced guide will help spot wildlife while sharing interesting facts about the park and its animals.
Around midday, arrive at your safari lodge located in or near the park. Enjoy lunch and some time to relax while taking in views of the surrounding wilderness. Many lodges overlook waterholes where animals often come to drink, giving you the chance to watch wildlife even while at the lodge.
In the afternoon, set out for another exciting game drive across the vast savannah and iconic baobab-dotted landscapes of Tsavo East. As the sun begins to set, the park becomes especially beautiful and active with wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
The next morning begins with an early sunrise game drive, the best time to see animals when the park is cool and quiet. After breakfast, enjoy one last short drive through the park before leaving Tsavo East and returning to Mombasa in the afternoon with unforgettable safari memories.
