Beschrijving
Discover Delft through the men and women who have shaped its history.
Come and meet both the famous and the lesser-known figures who will show you the many facets of the city.
In Delft, every place is marked by history. Through its canals and alleyways, the city is full of evidence of its different lives and faces.
These stories are sometimes told at the most famous sites, and sometimes at the most inconspicuous ones.
They speak of celebrities as well as ordinary people, artists and craftsmen, free men and women as well as slaves.
The adventures of the city and its citizens will make you laugh as much as they will make you shudder: you will get to know the king of Dutch escapes, princes with thwarted destinies, a spy from Franche-Comté, the nation's dog and his master, the orphans of the navy, and many more.
If you want to discover the beauty of Delft while listening to its most fascinating stories, don't hesitate to join me!
Our walk starts at the foot of the Oostpoort and lasts about two hours. It takes place in Delft's historic city center and is suitable for everyone.
