Explore the historic cellars of Casa Ferreira and learn about Dona Antónia’s legacy. Sample three Porto wines in an atmospheric tasting room.
Begin your tour at the House of Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, traversing the long warehouse where hundreds of vats and casks age the wine. Learn about Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, affectionately popularized by her countrymen as "Ferreirinha", one of the most remarkable characters in the history of the Douro region.
Hear how she became not only a symbol of steadfast entrepreneurship and Douro viticulture, but also an example of altruism and generosity towards those most in need.
Continue your exploration through the Vintage Museum, where rare bottles and winemaking artifacts reveal the evolution of Porto wine. Stroll through the tranquil garden, a peaceful space that reflects the estate’s enduring traditions and connection to the land.
Conclude your visit in the tasting room, where you’ll savor three distinct styles of Porto wine: White, Ruby, and Tawny. Each glass offers a unique expression of the Douro Valley’s terroir and craftsmanship.
