This Isle of Skye tour from Edinburgh wastes no time getting jaw-dropping. Scenery hits fast and doesn’t let up, with epic landscapes, dramatic history, and stories straight from your local HAGGiS guide along the way.
Day 1:
We roll out early from Edinburgh, crossing the iconic Forth Bridge as city streets give way to Highland scenery. With stories, music and local insight from your guide, we stop in charming Dunkeld before heading to the Commando Memorial for views towards Ben Nevis. Next up is legendary Loch Ness, with time to explore Fort Augustus and grab lunch. Walk among ancient trees at the Dundreggan Rewilding Centre, then snap photos at iconic Eilean Donan Castle. Cross the Skye Bridge and settle into colourful Portree, our home for the next two nights.
Day 2:
Today is all about Skye’s knockout scenery. We visit Kilt Rock to see waterfalls plunge into the sea, then head to the iconic Old Man of Storr, with time for a walk if conditions allow. Next is Dunvegan Castle, ancestral home of the MacLeods (entry optional). The evening is yours to enjoy Portree - explore the harbour, find a cosy pub, or kick back with your travel crew.
Day 3:
We start early and head for Mallaig to board the train* to take the journey along West Highland Line, one of the most scenic train journeys on the planet. Sit back as we cross the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct (aka the Harry Potter Bridge), and see mountains and coastline rolling by. After rejoining the bus in Fort William, we stop in dramatic Glen Coe for photos, then stretch our legs in Tyndrum. The journey back to Edinburgh takes us past Stirling and the Wallace Monument, wrapping up an unforgettable Highland adventure by early evening.

• Please note that the train journey is not Jacobite Steam Train, it is the local ScotRail service and may be subject to alterations outwith our control.
• The accommodation is in a mixed-gender multi-share hostel dorm, where minimum age to stay is 18 years old.
• Each traveler is allowed a maximum of 1 suitcase weighing no more than 33 pounds (15 kilograms) and 1 carry-on bag.
• Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them to board and disembark.
Meet 15 minutes before departure and look for your designated queue. Our staff will check you in.
