From Skye: North Skye Loop, Storr, Dinosaurs & Fairy Glen

Begin your 8hr private small group tour in Portree or we can pick up from your Skye accommodation, and head north to the Old Man of Storr. Walk the steep path to the top and enjoy the views. If you don't want to do the hike, let your guide know and they can modify the tour.

Next, visit Kilt Rock and Mealt Waterfall, with its dramatic clifftop views of the columns and layers of basalt rock, which famously look like the folds and tartan pattern of a kilt.

Continue to An Corran Beach at Staffin to find the dinosaur footprints. This is tide dependent. If the tide is too high, we can try to see other footprints instead at Score Bay, Duntulm later in the day, again dependent on the tide times.

Then, stop at the Dinosaur Museum to see the world-renowned collection of fossils and neolithic artifacts from across Skye. After a short drive, arrive at the Museum of Island Life, a settlement of thatched Black Houses, with exhibits that give an insight into how islanders lived hundreds of years ago.

Next, head to the charming fishing village of Uig and the stunning Fairy Glen to explore its magical miniature glens and conical mounds. Return to Portree for some free time or we can drop you back off at your Skye accommodation, via the Quirang viewpoint, a spectacular landscape of pinnacles and rock formations.
