Head into the mountains of León for a guided canyoning adventure and discover the region’s wild landscapes from inside its narrow gorges and flowing canyons. Follow the watercourse on an active descent that can include rappels, natural slides, and optional jumps, all under the supervision of experienced guides.

Choose between 2 different canyoning routes depending on the kind of challenge you want. The Estrechos de Crispín route is a good introduction for active travelers looking for an easier experience, with crystal clear pools, natural slides, and optional jumps in a striking canyon setting within the Biosphere Reserve of Los Argüellos. The Cacabillos route offers a more demanding descent near the Babia y Luna Natural Park, with rappels, slides, and optional jumps in a more technical environment.

Your guide will provide the specialist gear needed for the activity, including a 2 piece 5 mm wetsuit, neoprene socks, harness, helmet, and LED light. No previous experience is required for either option, but participants should be comfortable with physical activity in a natural mountain environment. As you move through the canyon, swim through pools, descend rock features, and take on the route’s obstacles, you’ll experience León’s landscape in a direct and memorable way. The activity ends at the finish point of your selected canyon route.
