From Gothenburg: Marstrand Seafood Market Sailing Trip

Sail from Gothenburg to Marstrand's annual Seafood Market. Enjoy a traditional Swedish fika and lunch on board, then explore the market and the historic island town at your own pace.
Meet at Stenpiren in central Gothenburg and set sail north towards Marstrand. As the city disappears behind you, the landscape changes to rocky islands, small coastal communities, and open sea.

Sit back, take the helm if you want to, or simply enjoy the scenery from the deck. During the journey, enjoy lunch, coffee, and traditional Swedish fika as you make your way towards Marstrand.

Arrive at approximately 1:00 PM, giving you the afternoon to discover Marstrand and its annual seafood market. Take your time wandering between the market stalls, discovering seafood, local food producers, crafts, and west-coast delicacies, while enjoying the atmosphere along the waterfront.

When you've had your time in the market, there is plenty more to explore. Walk through the charming old streets and along the harbor, take a coastal walk over the rocks for spectacular views of the ocean, or climb up to Carlsten Fortress, the island's most famous landmark.

Stop for a drink or dinner at one of Marstrand's restaurants, browse the island's independent shops, or simply find a spot by the water and enjoy the atmosphere.

You can return to Gothenburg later that day or stay overnight and turn the experience into a full west-coast getaway. Return trip is not included but please reach out if you want help making plans for that.

The Seafood Market takes place only once a year, and our sailing is limited to a small number of departures. This is not simply a way of getting to Marstrand, it is a rare opportunity to experience the west coast by sail and visit the island during one of its special annual events.
