Explore the stunning Jungfrau Region in the Bernese Oberland. Travel through breathtaking mountain scenery to Grindelwald, then continue to Lauterbrunnen Valley, famed for its waterfalls.
From Interlaken, head over to the cozy mountain village of Grindelwald. Right in the middle of the Alps, it’s all about classic wooden chalets and seriously impressive mountain views. Wherever you look, you’ll spot stunning scenery—especially the famous peaks Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. You’ll have around 3.5 hours of free time to discover the area at your own pace and enjoy optional activities of your choice.
If you’re up for something special, hop on the cable car to Mount First. Walk along the First Cliff Walk by Tissot for a bit of a thrill, or just kick back at the mountaintop restaurant and soak in the views. You can also take a short walk to the “First View” platform for even more epic scenery. Feeling adventurous? Check out the Glacier Canyon, where rushing water has carved out incredible rock formations. Or go for a more laid-back option and ride up to Mount Pfingstegg for great views and some fun alpine activities.
After that, continue on to Lauterbrunnen, known for its 72 waterfalls and as a source of inspiration for writers like Goethe and J.R.R. Tolkien. You’ll have some free time to explore the village, stroll around, and see the famous Staubbach Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in Switzerland.
Later in the afternoon, meet back up with your guide and head back, taking with you plenty of fresh mountain air and great memories.
