Day 1: Discover the Berber Mountains & Desert Ksour

Depart from Djerba and cross the legendary Roman causeway toward the wild landscapes of southern Tunisia.
Travel through the Dahar region, home to ancient Berber villages, mountain scenery, and fortified granaries known as ksour.
Your first stop is Toujane, a beautiful mountain village offering spectacular panoramic views over the surrounding valleys.
Continue to Matmata, famous for its underground troglodyte houses carved into the rock. Discover the traditional lifestyle of the Berber people and visit one of these fascinating homes.
After a lunch break, venture off the beaten path to Ksar Hallouf, an authentic and less-visited ksar blending perfectly into the desert mountains.
End the day at Ksar Hedada, one of Tunisia’s most impressive fortified granaries and a well-known Star Wars filming location.

Day 2: Ancient Villages, Berber Culture & Desert Landscapes

After breakfast, continue your journey through the heart of Tunisia’s Berber heritage.
Visit Guermassa, a peaceful mountain village overlooking vast desert landscapes and offering exceptional photo opportunities.
Continue to Chenini, one of the most famous Berber villages in Tunisia. Enjoy a guided walking tour through its ancient dwellings, hilltop mosque, and narrow pathways while learning about local history and traditions.
Then explore Douiret, an abandoned Berber village known for its remarkable troglodyte architecture and timeless atmosphere.
After a lunch break, return to Djerba via Tataouine, with a scenic stop along the way for panoramic desert photos.
