We start on the waterfront at Konak Square, next to the iconic İzmir Clock Tower, the symbol of the city. Your guide shares the story of İzmir, from ancient Smyrna to the modern Aegean city it is today. Then we step into Kemeraltı, the 17th century bazaar that has been the heart of local trade for centuries.
Inside the bazaar you'll walk narrow lanes full of spice sellers, coppersmiths, tailors and small family run shops. You'll see historic mosques, old han courtyards and hidden corners most visitors walk right past, while your guide explains daily life, local traditions and how this city works.
Then we head back to the sea and walk the Kordon, İzmir's famous promenade with views over the gulf and one of the best spots to watch local life go by.
The tour ends in Alsancak, the city's most vibrant neighborhood, known for its historic streets, cafés and energy. We say goodbye at the ferry pier, where you can catch a ferry, take a taxi, or stay and enjoy the evening like a local.
