Meet the crew on Horizon's own beach in Sharm El Sheikh, beside the Submarine gate. Get fitted with a life jacket and receive a short safety briefing, then climb into the Twister. It's a wide, open-topped ring with handles built into the sides — no straddling, no balancing. Sit down inside it, closer to a sofa than a tube.

Then the speedboat takes up the rope and the sea does the rest. The Twister doesn't just trail behind the boat: it swings out wide across the wake and spins, so the coastline sweeps past you again and again. Ask the captain to take it easy and it's a laughing, spinning ride your kids will want to repeat. Ask him to open it up and you'll be holding on with both hands.

Because you ride low and inside the ring instead of perched on top, one round works for a mixed group — grandparents, children and thrill-seekers can all go out together, at a speed the crew sets for you.
