Take advantage of this two-full-day combination option to explore the best of Salta with two of the region's most iconic excursions.

Day 1: Excursion to Cafayate and Quebrada de las Conchas
We'll head to Cafayate, the birthplace of Salta wine, located 180 km from the capital city. The journey begins by crossing the Lerma Valley and then entering the spectacular Quebrada de las Conchas Nature Reserve. Along this scenic route, you'll marvel at wind-sculpted rock formations in vibrant shades of red and orange, such as the Amphitheater, the Devil's Throat, The Castles, The Gypsum Pit, The Toad, The Friar, and The Obelisk. Upon arrival in Cafayate, we'll tour a local winery with a tasting of its famous varietals included. Free time for lunch and drop-off in Salta along the same route.

Day 2: Excursion to Cachi and Los Cardones National Park
A high-altitude tour through changing landscapes. Leaving the Lerma Valley behind, we'll climb up the colorful Gorge of Escoipe and the imposing Cuesta del Obispo until we reach the Valle Encantado (Enchanted Valley). The highest point of the trip will be Piedra del Molino (over 3,300 meters above sea level), from where we will enter Los Cardones National Park, the only high-mountain park in the country. We'll cross the historic Recta del Tin Tin —originally laid out by the Incas— with views of the majestic Nevado de Cachi (6,380 m above sea level). Finally, we will arrive in the picturesque colonial town of Cachi, where you will have 2 hours of free time to stroll along its cobblestone streets and admire its historic white façades.
