Day 1 – Airport – City Tour in Yerevan – Institute of Ancient Manuscripts Matenadaran
Upon arrival in Yerevan, you’ll begin your journey with a panoramic city tour. Armenia’s capital blends history and modern life with green parks, elegant fountains, and impressive architecture. You’ll visit key sights such as France Square, the Opera and Ballet House, Northern Avenue, and Republic Square. The tour continues to the Matenadaran Institute, where thousands of ancient manuscripts are preserved. Named after Mesrop Mashtots, the creator of the Armenian alphabet, it houses texts dating back to the 5th century. Later, you’ll explore the famous Cascade Complex – a massive stairway featuring contemporary sculptures and art installations, with panoramic views of the city and Mount Ararat. Overnight at a hotel in Yerevan.
Day 2 – Yerevan – Garni – Symphony of Stones – Geghard – Sevan – Yerevan
After breakfast, your day begins with a drive to the Garni Pagan Temple, a masterpiece of Hellenistic architecture from the 1st century, dramatically situated above the Azat Gorge. Nearby is the Symphony of Stones, a stunning natural rock formation resembling organ pipes. Next, you’ll visit the Geghard Monastery, partially carved into solid rock and surrounded by cliffs. This 13th-century complex is listed by UNESCO for its unique architecture and spiritual significance.The journey continues to the high-altitude Lake Sevan, often called the “jewel of Armenia.” You’ll visit the Sevanavank Monastery, located on a peninsula with breathtaking views over the lake. Return to Yerevan for an overnight stay.
Day 3 – Central Market – Vernissage – Tsitsernakaberd – St. Echmiadzin – Zvartnots – Airport
Your final day begins with a visit to Yerevan’s Central Market, where you’ll experience the vibrant atmosphere of local trade, offering dried fruits, sweets, and spices. Afterward, enjoy shopping at Vernissage, an open-air market for handmade souvenirs, traditional crafts, and artworks. The next stop is Tsitsernakaberd, the memorial complex dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, followed by a visit to the Genocide Museum. You’ll then head to Echmiadzin, the religious heart of Armenia, where you’ll see the ancient Echmiadzin Cathedral, a UNESCO site and spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Finally, explore the nearby Zvartnots ruins, an impressive 7th-century architectural site also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage location.
Transfer to the airport for departure.
