Day 1 — Shanghai: Old City & Skyline
Your guide meets you at your Shanghai hotel or the airport. Begin at Yu Garden, a 400-year-old Ming dynasty masterpiece of pavilions, rockeries, and koi ponds. Stroll through the adjacent City God Temple Bazaar for local snacks. As evening falls, walk the Bund to see the colonial-era waterfront architecture lit against the Pudong skyline, then wander Nanjing Road pedestrian street.
Day 2 — Shanghai: Water Town Zhujiajiao
Drive one hour to Zhujiajiao, known as the "Venice of Shanghai." Ride a traditional gondola through narrow canals lined with Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings. Enjoy lunch at a waterfront restaurant (at your own expense). Day 3 — Shanghai to Hangzhou: West Lake & Songcheng

Day 4 — Hangzhou to Suzhou: Garden & Old City
