Descrição

Discover Medellín’s transformation on a tour of Comuna 8. Ride the Ayacucho Tram, take a Metrocable, visit an urban coffee farm, and enjoy a professional coffee tasting.
Begin your journey at the iconic San Antonio Station, the heart of Medellín’s transport revolution. Board the modern Ayacucho Tram, the city’s first modern electric tramway that runs along the historic Ayacucho Avenue—the longest and most vibrant street in the city.

As you glide through the colorful murals and bustling local commerce, learn how Medellín became the economic epicenter of the Colombian coffee trade and how this avenue connects the city’s past with its innovative future.

Next, take to the skies on one of Medellín's world-famous Metrocables. As pioneers in using cable cars for social urbanism, this ride offers more than just breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views; it represents the bridge between marginalized communities and the city center. Ascend the mountainside to reach the heights of Comuna 8, a territory that has reinvented itself through culture and resilience.

Once at the top, walk through the streets of a neighborhood once defined by the challenges shown in the famous documentary “La Sierra.” Today, the narrative has changed. See firsthand how urbanism and community spirit have turned old scars into new opportunities.

The heart of your tour is our urban coffee farm. This is a rare opportunity to visit a functional coffee plantation hidden within the city limits. Meet the urban farmers who work the slopes and learn about the brand, Perico Café—a project born from strategic alliances with local families to promote fair trade and sustainable agriculture. You will taste our coffee grown in Medellín slopes by displaced farmers.

Walk through the coffee trees discussing the history of the bean that made Colombia famous. Participate in an interactive workshop covering the entire process, from seed to cup. The experience concludes with a professional tasting (cata) of the specialty roast, paired with a traditional local snack, all while overlooking the best view of the Medellín valley.
