Discover the highlands of San Cristóbal and enjoy its landscapes, nature, and wildlife. Visit iconic sites on the island and get an up-close look at its natural environment.
The tour begins at our agency in San Cristóbal, where you'll receive the necessary instructions for the sightseeing tour and the snorkeling gear you'll use during the visit to Puerto Chino. Once ready, we'll start the overland tour to the upper part of the island.

During the drive, you can enjoy the landscapes of San Cristóbal as we head to different ecosystems on the island. Our first stop will be El Junco Lagoon, an impressive freshwater body located in the crater of a volcano. You'll have time to walk up to the vantage point, enjoy the scenery, and observe the birds that frequent the area.

We'll then continue to La Galapaguera del Cerro Colorado, where you'll take a guided visit to learn about the giant tortoises of San Cristóbal, their habitat, and the conservation efforts carried out here.

We'll then head to Puerto Chino Beach, a beautiful white-sand beach surrounded by nature. You'll have free time to stroll, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. You can also snorkel and, depending on the conditions, see sea lions, turtles, rays, and different species of fish.

Finally, we'll head back to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, where this tour of some of the main natural attractions in the highlands of San Cristóbal will end.

The tour is unguided during the transfer, at Laguna El Junco, and at Puerto Chino Beach. The only guided visit is to La Galapaguera del Cerro Colorado.

You can also take the tour in the afternoon, departing at 2:00 PM. The itinerary includes the same visits to El Junco Lagoon, La Galapaguera del Cerro Colorado, and Puerto Chino Beach, with drop-off in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno at approximately 6:00 p.m.
