4-Day Tour: Quito, Mindo, Pacific Coast & Tsáchila, All incl

Beyond the usual routes: from Quito through Mindo’s cloud forest to the Pacific Coast. Quiet beaches, nature, relaxation and Tsáchila people, a unique indigenous culture, on a private 4-day journey.
Day 1: Quito – Mitad del Mundo – Mindo Cloud Forest – Pedernales

Our private journey begins with pickup in Quito. Leaving the city behind, we stop at the famous Mitad del Mundo, where we enjoy standing on the Equator line, with one foot in the Northern and the other in the Southern Hemisphere, before continuing towards the cloud forest of Mindo. During a short visit, we discover Mindo’s highlights: a hummingbird garden, a butterfly farm and a local chocolate experience. As we leave the Andes behind and continue west towards the tropical Pacific Coast, it will be time to change into lighter clothes before arriving at our accommodation at Cabañas Riviera Pacific in Pedernales, where we stay for three nights with breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 2: Relax and enjoy the Pacific Coast After the first day of travelling and exploring, it’s time to slow down and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the tropical Pacific Coast. We recommend places to visit and things to see, while you choose how to spend your day. You can relax at Cabañas Riviera Pacific, enjoy the swimming pool, relax in hammocks surrounded by the tropical garden, or explore the beach and Malecón of Pedernales. If you choose to spend the day exploring further, we will prepare a lunch box, just to make sure you don’t get hungry during the day and can fully enjoy your adventure. For those who prefer a more active experience, we can help arrange an optional boat trip to nearby islands, where you can enjoy the coastal scenery and relax on their beaches.

Day 3: Bosque Seco Lalo Loor Private Reserve After the first days filled with travel, cloud forest and beach relaxation, we discover another completely different side of Ecuador’s nature at Bosque Seco Lalo Loor Private Reserve. This unique tropical dry forest offers a completely different vibe from the green mountains and tropical coast, with its own plants, wildlife and atmosphere. We take a walk through the reserve, enjoy the peaceful surroundings and discover one of the lesser-known natural areas of the Pacific Coast before returning to Pedernales.

Day 4: Tsáchila Culture and Return to Quito On our way back to Quito, we continue to Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, the land of the Tsáchila people, one of Ecuador’s unique indigenous cultures. Their name means “true people” in Tsáfiki, their own language. We visit Centro Turístico Mushily and meet the Tsáchila in a place where ancestral traditions and modern life come together. Here, we discover a living culture where new generations continue to follow the wisdom of their ancestors. We learn about their traditional clothing, customs, natural medicine, symbolic elements and their deep spiritual connection with nature and the land they call home. You can leave with a small souvenir from their own art shop, carrying a memory of this unique encounter.

Before arriving back in Quito, we make short photo stops at Napa waterfall and Cara del Diablo, two scenic places along our route.
