Unlike many other operators, Lovimainas is the original custodian of the land where these tours take place. We do not resell or subcontract activities, allowing us to ensure ethical animal care, fair wages, and genuine cultural safety for every visitor.
Your experience begins with a transfer from the meeting point to our peaceful reindeer camp. You’ll be greeted by a local herder, who will introduce you to the reindeer and share the deep cultural connection between the Sámi people and these animals.

After a short introduction, settle into your sleigh for a quiet glide through the forest. Listen to the soft jingling of bells and feel the calm rhythm of Arctic nature around you.

Back at camp, warm up by the fire in our Lappish tepee, enjoy a hot drink, and hear fascinating stories about the reindeer’s role in both traditional and modern life. You’ll even learn the Sámi calls used to communicate with reindeer — knowledge rarely shared with outsiders.
