Immerse yourself in the world of wine in the heart of Lyon, just 5 minutes from Place Bellecour. This immersive, one-hour tour takes you through 120 m² of historic vaulted cellars for a sensory and interactive journey. Your tour begins with an exploration of the origins and terroirs: you'll get to touch the different types of soil that shape the character of the grapes. Then, walk through the vineyard to gain an understanding of the current environmental challenges facing winemaking. Using our interactive tools, awaken your senses in the aroma library and learn to identify the complex notes of different grape varieties. Discover the secrets of winemaking and learn more about the “people behind the wine” through our exclusive expert interviews. The experience culminates in a generous tasting session. Put your knowledge into practice by tasting a selection of 8 different wines: orange wine, natural wine, single-varietal Beaujolais crus, and dry, fruity, or sweet white wines. Tour materials are available in 7 languages. Please note that access is via a spiral staircase (not wheelchair accessible).
