Descrição

Embark on a 7-day trekking adventure from Tbilisi to the remote highlands of Tusheti and Khevsureti. Cross the legendary Atsunta Pass, explore ancient stone villages, and camp under the stars.
Day 1: Tbilisi to Omalo
Begin your adventure before sunrise, leaving Tbilisi behind as the road curves through the Gombori Pass. Climb to Abano Pass, a narrow dirt road hanging over deep valleys, wild waterfalls, and towering peaks.
After a lunch stop surrounded by the Caucasus, arrive at Omalo, the gateway to Tusheti. At the Visitor Center, hear stories of highlanders, shepherds, and warriors. Walk up to the legendary Keselo Towers, where the wind carries centuries of Tushetian legends.
As the sun sets, enjoy a traditional Tushetian dinner, prepared by a local family. Fall asleep in Omalo, ready for the trek to begin.
Day 2: Omalo to Dartlo
After breakfast, head out of the village and deeper into the highlands. Reach Que Overlook, known as the “Eagles’ Nest.” Descend into the valley and follow an ancient path to Dartlo, a village frozen in time.
After lunch in a family guesthouse, continue to Kvavlo and Dano, small villages perched high on ridges. Return to Dartlo for dinner, and watch as stars illuminate the black sky above the stone roofs.
Day 3: Dartlo to Girevi
Pass through Farsma and Baso, villages where only a few families still live, keeping the old traditions alive. By afternoon, reach Girevi, the very last village in Tusheti that the road can reach.
Enjoy a picnic lunch by the river. After settling into a family guesthouse, explore the ruins of old towers, walk along the riverbank, or rest before tomorrow’s journey.
Day 4: Girevi to Kvakhidi Camp
After breakfast, step onto the ancient Atsunta Trail, once used by traders, shepherds, and warriors. Cross wooden bridges, walk beside crystal streams, and hear nothing but wind, water, and your own footsteps.
Stop for lunch on the grass, surrounded by wildflowers. The final stretch leads into Kvakhidi Meadows, a breathtaking open space embraced by the Atsunta ridges. Set up camp under the open sky, with dinner prepared by the horsemen.
Day 5: Kvakhidi to Khidotani
Begin the climb to Atsunta Pass, one of the highest walkable passes in Georgia. When you reach the top at 3431 meters, stand between two worlds — Tusheti behind you, Khevsureti ahead.
Descend from the pass, stopping for lunch after the steep part. Later, the trail leads to Khidotani, where you set up camp (or stay in a simple shelter depending on weather).
Day 6: Khidotani to Ardoti
Descend into the valley, passing abandoned stone villages and meeting shepherds who still live the highlander life. Around midday, reach Ratkamu, where you enjoy lunch in nature.
The final kilometers bring you to Ardoti, where you spend the night in a family guesthouse.
Day 7 Return to Tbilisi: Ardoti -Tbilisi
After breakfast in Ardoti, we drive to Shatili, one of Georgia’s most remarkable medieval fortress villages with its iconic stone towers.
The road then leads through forests and mountain landscapes, with a final stop at the beautiful Zhinvali Reservoir.
By late afternoon we arrive back in Tbilisi, where the journey ends — but the memories remain.
