Uncover panoramic cloud-level views over Stepantsminda from Gergeti Trinity Church, the highest-altitude church in Georgia. Taste the fresh mineral water directly from the natural source and witness mountains beautifully covered in travertines.

Once we leave Tbilisi, we travel along the historic Georgian Military Highway, the only official road connecting Georgia and Russia.

1. Zhinvali Reservoir

Stunning Zhinvali Dam — a perfect photo stop where turquoise waters meet dramatic mountain scenery. Learn the fascinating history of the ancient and once-prosperous city of Zhinvali, a wealthy medieval settlement known for its workshops, castles, towers, and trade routes, now submerged beneath a 75-meter-deep reservoir.

2. Ananuri Fortress Complex

Magnificent feudal-era Ananuri Fortress, once the residence of the powerful Eristavi (Dukes) of Aragvi, who ruled the region from the 13th century. Explore the fortress complex featuring churches, towers, water reservoirs, and an octagonal prison cell. Adventurous guests can climb one of the defensive towers for spectacular views.

3. Black & White Aragvi
Confluence
Famous confluence of the Black and White Aragvi rivers, where two differently colored rivers flow side-by-sidewithout immediately mixing — a unique natural phenomenon and an excellent photo opportunity.

4. Gudauri

Georgia’s most famous ski resort, located 2,200 meters above sea level. During winter, snowfall can reach up to 1.5 meters. Admire breathtaking alpine panoramas from the Gudauri Friendship Monument and capture unforgettable photos of the surrounding mountains.

5. Travertines & Mineral Springs

We witness beautiful travertine formations created by natural mineral waters. Taste fresh mineral water directly from the source, naturally enriched with minerals and famously believed by locals to be the perfect hangover cure.

6. Secret Location

It is a secret one where you will find out what a person can do even without resources if one truly immerses oneself in art.

7. Gergeti Trinity Church

Our final stop is Stepantsminda, the last town before the Russian border, located just 11 km away. From there, we ascend to the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church at 2,170 meters above sea level. As you admire the extraordinary mountain views surrounding the church, you will understand why this sacred place is deeply connected to Georgian highland mythology and legends passed down through generations.
