This cruise is built around each of those problems, and fixes them before you pay.

PROBLEM: "WILL I ACTUALLY SEE A DRAGON?"
Komodo dragons hide in mating season, and many groups go home without a sighting. Our owner was born on Komodo Island and our guides grew up beside the dragons. They know where the animals rest at each hour of the day. If you join the ranger walk and still see no Komodo dragon, we refund 100% of the tour price under our published guarantee terms.

PROBLEM: "WHO TAKES THE PHOTOS?"
Our crew does. Premium documentation with drone, GoPro and mirrorless camera is included on every cabin class, and the files are sent to you after the trip.

PROBLEM: "WHAT WILL I BE ASKED TO PAY ON THE BOAT?"
Nothing for the route. All nine stops are in the price: Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Taka Makassar, Manta Point, Kelor, Manjarite, Kalong and Siaba. The only separate cost is the Komodo National Park entrance fee, and it is already included in Deluxe and Luxury cabins. Standard and Superior guests add it at checkout or pay cash on day 1; the guide handles the tickets.

With us, the operator. Discovery Trip is owned and run by people from Komodo and Labuan Bajo. Crew, guides and management are local, and our office in Labuan Bajo is open if you want to meet the team before you sail.

PROBLEM: "WHICH CABIN IS RIGHT FOR ME?"
Every cabin is air-conditioned. Standard, Superior and Deluxe come as a shared cabin (sold per bed, up to 4 guests) or a private cabin for 2. Luxury is private only.
- Standard: a traditional phinisi, best value for solo travelers and friends.
- Superior: a larger phinisi with ocean-view windows.
- Deluxe: ensuite bathrooms on a bigger phinisi. Park fee included.
- Luxury: a premium phinisi with ensuite cabins, sun deck and lounge. Park fee included.

THE ROUTE: 9 STOPS IN 3 DAYS
Day 1: Kelor Island hill walk and swim. Manjarite snorkeling over shallow coral. Kalong Island at dusk, when thousands of flying foxes cross the sky. Dinner and first night on board.
Day 2: Padar Island sunrise hike to the three-bay viewpoint. Pink Beach swimming and snorkeling. Komodo Island ranger walk to see the dragons. Taka Makassar sandbank. Manta Point snorkeling where mantas feed. Second night on board.
Day 3: Siaba Island snorkeling with resting turtles, then back to Labuan Bajo around midday.

- Pickup and drop-off at your Labuan Bajo hotel or Airport, so you never search for the harbour. Pickup time is confirmed the day before.
- Shared cabins hold up to 4 guests and are sold per bed (Standard, Superior, Deluxe). Private cabins are for 2 guests, sold per person. Luxury is private only.
- Cabin layout, bathroom type and window size vary by class and vessel.
- Standard and Superior guests: bring the park fee in cash (rupiah) unless you added it at checkout. Deluxe and Luxury guests need no cash for the park.
- The boat returns to Labuan Bajo between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, depending on sea conditions. If you fly out on day 3, book a flight departing after 3:00 PM.
