Descrição

Discover Kanazawa on a private tour featuring a wish-making ritual at Kourinji Temple, a visit to the Ninja Temple, and a guided walk through the historic Nishi Chaya District.
Discover a quieter and more interactive side of Kanazawa on a private walking tour through its historic temple and geisha districts.

Meet your private guide outside Kourinji Temple, a peaceful temple known for its distinctive wish-making traditions. Enter the temple grounds and learn how the ritual is performed before receiving your own prayer sash and a set of five wish balls.

Write a personal wish on your prayer sash and walk around the temple’s garden path three times. On your final circuit, find the statue representing your zodiac sign and attach your sash beside it.

Continue to the temple’s Daruma statue for a lighthearted challenge. Try throwing your five wish balls into the Daruma’s mouth, an activity associated with good fortune and success.

After completing the ritual, take a short walk to Myoryuji, commonly known as the Ninja Temple. Despite its nickname, the temple was not home to ninjas. It became famous for its maze-like architecture, hidden staircases, deceptive passageways, and defensive features.

Before entering, your guide will provide historical context about the temple, Kanazawa’s castle town, and the Maeda family.

Inside Myoryuji, join the temple’s official Japanese-language tour and follow the explanations using an English-language information sheet. External guides are not permitted to provide live explanations or interpretation inside the temple. Your private guide will resume the tour after you leave the building.

Continue toward Nishi Chaya District while learning about Kanazawa’s traditional entertainment culture, geisha districts, local architecture, and the differences between the city’s historic tea districts.

Walk through the district’s atmospheric streets and stop at interesting buildings, shops, or photo locations depending on your interests and the remaining time.

The tour finishes in Nishi Chaya District, allowing you to continue exploring its shops, cafés, and surrounding neighborhoods independently.
