Busan: City Tour of 3 Historic Neighborhoods by Public Bus

Experience Busan as a living space. Riding a public bus, you will follow the city's daily rhythm and visit three newly revitalized historic districts in Yeongdo, gaining insights into the city's history, culture, and local life.
To start, you will receive a brief introduction to the tour. During the introduction, you will learn what to look out for during the experience in order to better understand the city.

Afterward, we will travel together from Nampo Station to Yeongdo by public bus. This ride is not a simple transfer, but a central part of the experience. Instead of following a tourist route, the bus takes the paths of daily life, thereby revealing the city's true structure.

During the ride, you will listen to an audioguide on your own smartphone and through your headphones. The content will be provided in advance so that you can play it even without an internet connection. This way, you can directly connect what you see with the content being narrated.

The route will take you along Busan's hillside areas, through residential districts that developed under significant historical pressures – particularly during the Japanese colonial period, the Korean War, and industrialization.

You will visit three different locations in Yeongdo:

First, a hillside neighborhood that offers insights into the city's evolving residential structure.
Next, you'll visit Huinnyeoul Culture Village, where you'll wander through narrow alleys and along the coast, gaining an understanding of how this area was created and how it is used.
Next is Kangkangee Art Village, which represents the neighborhood's industrial background and its transformation.

To conclude, you and your group will cross the Yeongdo Bridge on your way back to Nampo. Alternatively, you can choose to extend your stay in the last neighborhood on your own.

I will accompany you on this tour. I grew up in Yeongdo and rode this very bus every day when I was in school. For me, this route wasn't a tourist trail; it was part of my everyday life.
