On the first day, you’ll be picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech and driven to the charming Imlil Valley, the gateway to the High Atlas Mountains. Here, you’ll meet your experienced local guide and trekking team before setting off on your journey. The trail begins along the scenic Aït Mizane Valley, passing through traditional Berber villages, terraced fields, and orchards, giving you a glimpse of rural mountain life. One of the highlights of the day is the spiritual sanctuary of Sidi Chamarouch, known for its small shrine and nearby waterfall. From here, you’ll follow mule tracks and steeper mountain paths, gradually climbing above the snow line. The day’s trek takes approximately 5–6 hours, leading you to the Toubkal Refuge, situated at 3,207 meters. Here, you’ll be welcomed with warm Berber hospitality, enjoy a hearty dinner, and rest overnight in preparation for the summit attempt.

On the second day, you’ll start early to begin the ascent to Jbel Toubkal at sunrise. The climb itself is moderate but includes sections of scree and altitude changes, which make the experience both challenging and rewarding. Along the way, you’ll encounter dramatic rocky landscapes, mountain streams, and expansive views that stretch across the High Atlas Mountains. Reaching the summit at 4,167 meters is a truly unforgettable moment: from the top, you can see the Marrakech Plain and Atlas Mountains to the north, the Anti-Atlas Mountains to the south, and even the edge of the Sahara Desert on clear days. After celebrating at the peak and taking in the 360-degree panorama, you’ll descend back to the refuge for a breakfast, and continue descending to Imlil, where a lunch awaits. Finally, you’ll return to Marrakech by vehicle, reflecting on the incredible landscapes, culture, and achievement of your Toubkal trek.
