Begin your hike at Tarebhir, a beautiful hilltop location offering early views of the Kathmandu Valley and surrounding green hills. Enjoy the quiet, breezy atmosphere, perfect for photographs. Continue with gentle, scenic walking along the ridge.
As you enter Shivapuri National Park, the path becomes shaded and peaceful, with tall pine and oak trees on both sides. Listen to birds singing and watch monkeys playing in the forest. Enjoy the cool, refreshing air and occasional viewpoints overlooking the valley.
Reach Nagi Gompa, the spiritual highlight of the day. This monastery is home to a community of Buddhist nuns dedicated to meditation and study. The atmosphere is quiet and sacred, with prayer flags fluttering against a backdrop of hills and sky. Sit, rest, enjoy tea, and absorb the peaceful energy of the monastery.
From Nagi Gompa, the ridge opens up to panoramic views of the entire Kathmandu Valley, green rolling hills, and the Langtang range on clear days. Photography lovers especially enjoy this part.
